    $60,000 - $80,000 per year

    QC Laboratory Manager Job Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Efficiently manage the Mechanical (tensile, compression, non-destructive) and Chemical Testing (HPLC) Laboratories to achieve production plans on time, while maintaining safety, environmental, and quality standards.
    • Provide technical management support to ensure best laboratory practices and robust test methods with good repeatability to comply with aerospace, quality, and testing standards.
    • Oversee daily QC and IPC Testing laboratory operations to meet testing plan requirements and ensure timely targets are met.
    • Drive continuous improvement of laboratory systems and processes through the QC laboratories, ensuring all test methods and equipment are suitably qualified and validated.
    • Manage a team of Laboratory supervisors and Laboratory Engineers.
    • Develop the use of 5S and Lean methodologies and working practices across the Laboratories.
    • Organize daily staff and shift activities to optimize work throughput and achieve all plans and production requirements on time.

    Requirements:

    • Degree-level qualification in Chemistry, Mechanical or Materials Engineering – or closely related field.
    • Experience managing a QC laboratory with proven technical ability within a chemical and mechanical environment.
    • Strong background in chemical and mechanical analysis including HPLC, tensile, and non-destructive testing.
    • Sound knowledge of testing practices and procedures (HPLC and DSC included).
    • Team management experience.

    Estimated Salary: $70,000 per year
