To provide a delivery and collection service within the Liverpool UniversityHospitals NHS FT and all associated sites.
PATIENT/CLIENT CARE

FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL RESOURCES

HUMAN RESOURCES - Demonstrate own activities to new or less experienced employees.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR INFORMATION RESOURCES
- To keep documented reports associated with each journey
log sheets, mileage, to comply with Transport Regulations.
We're looking to recruit experienced commercial drivers holding a full clean UK driving licence and preferably hold an ADR driver training certificate with classes 2, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 8 & 9, issued by Department for Transport.
Recruiting for 2 full time members of staff 37.5hrs per week and 1 part time 7.5hrs (Tuesday hrs) shift, although additional hours will be available to cover holidays and sickness.
As a vital member of our team you will be responsible for collecting and delivering specimens and samples between Aintree, Royal and Broadgreen hospitals.
You should also be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and have experience of dealing professionally with staff and members of the public.
You will be required to work various shifts on a 24hr rota including days, nights and weekends.

To keep accurate personal records i.e. timesheets
To manage workload to maximise efficiency of deliveries and collections
The post will require some problem solving to address on site customer
enquiries
To achieve and maintain the standard of service as agreed, keeping
within timed schedules, and working unsupervised
Planning of own day to day work tasks
To supply a delivery and collection service as laid down by current
schedules
Deliveries and collections will include such items as casenotes and
internal post as per scheduled or non -scheduled journeys to provide an
efficient service
To keep documented reports associated with each journey
- i.e. vehicle
log sheets, mileage, to comply with Transport Regulations.
To check the vehicle each day, prior to use, of fuel, oil, water, tyres,
lights and keep documented records, i.e. defect reports etc. as required
plus any other associated forms, in order to maintain the safety of the
driver, vehicle and other road users. Taking the vehicle to hirer for
repairs, servicing and MOT's
To keep the vehicle, clean inside and out, to prevent dirt and cross
contamination
To be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of goods,
observing associated Health and Safety guidelines, to prevent injury to
self and other persons
The moving of casenotes between sites as necessary, e.g. distribution
and/or emergency movement ensuring that customer daily requirements
are met.
To maintain patient safety through rigorous and consistent compliance
with Trust Policies, for the prevention and control of infection, including
hand hygiene. To undertake appropriate mandatory training and
updates in infection prevention and control.
There will be a need to communicate with other staff at various levels
within the Trust.
To establish good working relationships with all customers to maintain
the agreed level of service.
The ability to plan and prioritise your day to day work load as
appropriate
To keep all relevant parties informed of any changes that may occur
outside your agreed schedule
