Venn Group are currently recruiting for a
Head of HR/OD on behalf of a well-respected Local Authority in the South West.

Location:
South West (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months initially

Rate:
£600 per day Umbrella

IR35 status:
Inside IR35

Responsibilities:

Provide specialist OD advice, guidance and interventions, to support all the Directorates and Service areas to enable the delivery of individual and collective strategic objectives
Provide specialist support to complex OD initiatives and improvements, promoting an integrated approach to organisational development with both internal and external partners focussed around delivering the Council's priorities at its best, in line with the Council Strategic Plan
Lead for major culture programmes to improve employee engagement and develop leadership capability to deliver a well led and inclusive culture throughout the Council
Manage and contribute to the overarching budget of HROD in conjunction with the Head of HR Consultancy and Head of Health and Safety
Developing and delivering integrated organisational development plans that link to and support delivery of our strategic objectives

Essential experience:

Knowledge of ecapabilities for HR/OD services and experience in commissioning and evaluating the effectiveness of the HR and OD activities
Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) or equivalent
Understanding of the local government sector, the wider commercial market and new models of service delivery and the challenges facing the sector
Knowledge of ecapabilities for HR services and experience in evaluating the effectiveness of the HR activities and employee experience
