GSL Education are looking for a
Teaching Assistant at one of our client primary schools in Camden. The school is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students with Autism. They are committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment that fosters growth, development, and success. As a
Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping these students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Supporting students during classroom activities, ensuring their engagement and understanding.
- Providing oneonone support to students with specific learning goals.
- Promoting social interaction and facilitating positive relationships among students.
- Assisting with behaviour management and implementing strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Collaborating with the teaching team and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt instructional techniques accordingly
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with Autistic students in a primary school setting will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting students with autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Local to Camden
