Lightworks now form the Centre of Excellence for Visualization inside the Siemens Digital Industries Software division.

With specialisms in 3D graphics, ray tracing, virtual reality, games engines and UI, the Lightworks team supports advanced visualisation usage across the world-leading Siemens product design software range and directly with end users.

What we're looking for

As a recent graduate, or as someone who's opted for a placement within their degree course, you will be looking to start your career as an Industrial Product Designer with an eye for visualisation using 3D CAD software.

Your degree must contain a high level of product design and visualisation content.

This role is paid, available for one year, and offers a fantastic opportunity to work on real visualisation-related projects in an exciting and varied environment.

Working with both the Marketing and Creative Teams, you will be able to blend 3D visualization, graphic design and copywriting to communicate ideas across multiple teams.

You'll have the ability to hear multiple disparate viewpoints, and distil the essence into concise insights and key ideas.

You are comfortable deploying multiple types of media to communicate your ideas to craft compelling marketing assets that target customer pain points.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, you will split your time across each of the teams, collaborating with the respective stakeholders.

You will gain a unique perspective on the priorities and projects of the respective groups.

This role will allow you to own the end-to-end conception, creation and execution of certain marketing assets.

Alongside the 3D Creative team, you will learn how to produce a series of 3D visualizations using NX, Siemens' flagship CAD solution.

With the support of the Marketing team, you will translate these insights into a collection of marketing assets including blogs, social media posts, rendered images and video.

An understanding and passion for what makes an engaging visualisation
The ability to collate customer insights into key learnings
A passion for continuous learning and have an adaptable approach to working on a range of projects, at concept and detail level
A curiosity to discover and understand multiple viewpoints
The ability to distil complex ideas into simple bitesized concepts

A knowledge of any of the following would be desirable

3D CAD systems
3D visualization
Design thinking
Commercial acumen
