Material Handler - this role will be trained in Lutterworth for first 6 months and then will be permanent in Coalville from thereon. You need to be able to drive and work on 6-2pm and 2-10pm rotating shifts.


Job Smmary:

The Material Handler will be responsible for efficiently handling, preparing, and moving materials within the warehouse and production environment.

This role involves operating equipment, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Material Handler will contribute to the timely delivery of finished products and support the overall production process.


Responsibilities:


  • Operate shrink wrap machines to securely wrap pallets of finished products.
  • Utilize banding machines to strap finished products for transportation.
  • Safely operate powered pump trucks for material transportation.
  • Proficiently use 'Flexi' forklifts for material handling (training available).
  • Prepare materials needed for production lines in a timely manner.
  • Pick required materials from stock or warehouse for production use.
  • Input and manage data in the MRP system (Pal MRP, Microsoft Navigate).
  • Complete necessary paperwork to adjust stock levels accurately.
  • Collect and remove waste products from production areas and recycle appropriately.
  • Process returns of raw materials, including generating and attaching labels.
  • Conduct production line cleaning and setup if trained and required.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to support inventory tracking.

Requirements:


  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to operate shrink wrap and banding machines.
  • Proficient in using powered pump trucks; forklift license preferred.
  • Computer literacy for data entry and MRP system usage.
  • Familiarity with Pal MRP (Microsoft Navigate) is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Adherence to established procedures and protocols.
  • Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
  • Previous exposure to warehouse or production environments is a plus.

Salary:
£12.00-£13.00 per hour
