Material Handler - this role will be trained in Lutterworth for first 6 months and then will be permanent in Coalville from thereon. You need to be able to drive and work on 6-2pm and 2-10pm rotating shifts.
Job Smmary:
The Material Handler will be responsible for efficiently handling, preparing, and moving materials within the warehouse and production environment.
This role involves operating equipment, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Material Handler will contribute to the timely delivery of finished products and support the overall production process.Responsibilities:
- Operate shrink wrap machines to securely wrap pallets of finished products.
- Utilize banding machines to strap finished products for transportation.
- Safely operate powered pump trucks for material transportation.
- Proficiently use 'Flexi' forklifts for material handling (training available).
- Prepare materials needed for production lines in a timely manner.
- Pick required materials from stock or warehouse for production use.
- Input and manage data in the MRP system (Pal MRP, Microsoft Navigate).
- Complete necessary paperwork to adjust stock levels accurately.
- Collect and remove waste products from production areas and recycle appropriately.
- Process returns of raw materials, including generating and attaching labels.
- Conduct production line cleaning and setup if trained and required.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to support inventory tracking.
Requirements:
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to operate shrink wrap and banding machines.
- Proficient in using powered pump trucks; forklift license preferred.
- Computer literacy for data entry and MRP system usage.
- Familiarity with Pal MRP (Microsoft Navigate) is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Adherence to established procedures and protocols.
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
- Previous exposure to warehouse or production environments is a plus.
Salary:
£12.00-£13.00 per hour
