As Mind's expert advisor in relation to Safeguarding, this role will be the first point of contact for Safeguarding issues (including self-harm and suicide) as well as leading on projects to improve our Safeguarding policies and practices.

This is a variedand wide-ranging role, responsible for providing operational Safeguarding support across all directorates and teams.

We're looking for someone who has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of UK Safeguarding legislation and standards of best practice for Safeguarding, and who has extensive experience of responding to Safeguarding and at-risk concerns.

You'll have strongverbal and written communication skills and be able to quickly establish personal credibility and develop and maintain collaborative relationships.

As our Safeguarding Manager, you'll have experience of effectively supporting the development and implementation of robust Safeguarding processes in a large and complex organisation and be able to consult and negotiate with external agencies to reach bestoutcomes for individuals.

Experience of working in the voluntary sector is desirable, as is experience of policy development and improvement.
