Leicester, LE1 Hybrid working from home 3 days per week
Salary:
£30,000 per annum DOE
Monday to Friday
Fixed Term Contract for 6 months with room for extension and/or conversion to permanent.
37.5 hours a week
The Opportunity
My client is a large company who is on the hiring trail following a huge contract win with a prominent global client.
Their central team operates an exciting, fast paced, client driven / facing environment. to a wide range of complex and sophisticated clientsthroughout the UK.Operating in the corporate, healthcare, education, retail & leisure and local authority & central government sectors, the company creates and implements bespoke solutions to improve the performance and value derived from non-core activity.
The RoleThe primary focus of this role is to provide accurate and up to date Procurement spend data and help develop a business forward buying plan through the reporting of key data.
You will need to develop and maintain great working relationships with appropriate personnel at the correct levels both internally and externally and ensure a consistent message is given to Suppliers.
In summary, you'll be turning data into meaningful information, utilising existing reporting frameworks whilst developing new reporting tools to better enable and mobilise the key stakeholders who are supplier facing.
Key Duties:
Developing the automation of spend data across the Group from multiple sources
Researching, analysing, and providing comprehensive data on all areas of company spend and procurement activity
Assisting with the design, development and production of reports and dashboards, to present information, including but not limited to detailed spend analysis, procurement data reports, and savings opportunities
Working with the Buyers and Procurement Manager to develop a forward buying plan for the Group
Desired skills and qualifications, qualities and attributes
Experience of researching data from a variety of sources
Experience of data manipulation
Understanding of Procurement activities
Strong education in numeracy and literacy
Knowledge of spend analysis
Good presentation skills
Confident communicator
Self-motivated, organised and achievement focused
Excellent analytical skills
Relevant IT and numeracy skills (including SQL)
