Northern Employment Services are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer in the Manchester area on a straight permanent basis, working with one of our fantastic ever growing clients.

Hours of work for a Senior Buyer : Monday to Friday - 8am to 4pm or alternatively 9am to 5pm

Salary for a Senior Buyer:
£48,000 to £55,000 annual, depending on experience

Duties & Responsibilities of a Senior Buyer:

Develop, manage, and implement category strategies that support business needs and align with organisational values.
Coach & mentor the buyer community
Drive operational and commercial KPI's
Interacting with high profile stakeholders and suppliers
Ongoing management of subcategories and resources
Manage Procurement & Contracts Management
Working closely with other key function in the company
Demonstrate a track record of successfully managing a category or area of spend at a strategic level

Experience or knowledge required from a Buyer:

Degree level (or have an equivalent experience level) with MCIPS (or working towards MCIPS, with financial support)
Experience of the PCR's &/or UCR's
Knowledge of law and experience of contract formation / administration / management
Experience of tender processes and relevant "Find A Tender" regulations
Excellent analytical skills, strong commercial awareness, a measured approach to decision making and the ability to ensure best value procurement
Experience of cost and price analysis with ability to evaluate tender processes
Demonstrate advanced stakeholder management skills
Office proficient
