Are you someone who is passionate about engineering and performing electrical maintenance duties in a world class manufacturing facility

At
Saint Gobain Glass we are looking for
an apprentice trained Electrical Engineer to work in our
Shift Team,helping to deliver and support maximization of plant availability by safely undertaking proactive and reactive maintenance of plant equipment


The Shift Engineer will be a part of a highly skilled and technically minded team of 6 Engineers and you will have responsibility for 2 Engineers on your shift where you will allocate and supervise their workloads.

You will work on a 4 on 4 off basis consistingof 2 nights and 2-day shift.

What we're looking for:


  • A multiskilled Engineer with an electrical skills bias. An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer would be great however all routes of qualification will be considered Ability to install, maintain and repair all plant processing and services equipment
  • Some knowledge of PLC and instrumentation equipment would be an advantage however you will be supported by a site C&I specialist.

What you will be doing:


  • The daily organizing and allocation of work duties for you and your team, ensuring resource is fully utilized.
  • Ensuring the delivery of required preventative maintenance schedules and managing responses to equipment failures and breakdowns.
  • Supervising, supporting, coaching, and mentoring a team of 2 Engineers
