Role

Development Officer


HOURS:
8am - 4pm


SALARY:
£12-£16 per hour Depending on Experience

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Manage a fundraising communication plan to provide different cohorts of parents and alumnae with the fundraising message in the right way at the right time and with suitable followup
  • Support the Headteacher in her approaches to potential donors
  • Thanking ensure all donors are properly thanked and updated

Administration:


  • Organise meetings of the Development Board
  • Take minutes of Board meetings
  • Liaise with the Bursar on the collection of Gift Aid and phased donations
  • Regularly produce financial and analytical reports on pledges, redemption schedules and statistics as required by overseeing committees

Events:


  • Plan, implement and manage donor events, which may involve occasional work at weekends and evenings

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Selfmotivated, enthusiastic and friendly.
  • Effective interpersonal, written and communication skills, in order to engage the diverse range of people of various ages who will be involved with this initiative.
  • A practical approach to work with common sense and initiative.
  • Good administrative skills with an eye for detail.
  • Sound IT skills with the ability to create and use databases and generate reports as well.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a team or unsupervised, and to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to develop the tools to influence and achieve business goals effectively.
  • Ability to effectively use social media platforms needed to promote fundraising at the school.
  • Be flexible about duties and working hours.
  • Have an understanding of GDPR and the associated obligations around the use and storage of personal data.
  • Willing to work within the regulations associated with fundraising in a public sector organisation.
  • A commitment to ensure confidentiality and discretion at all times
