    Location: Hamble, flexible shift pattern with 4 on, 4 off rotation and a shift allowance for night shifts.

    We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team. If you have experience in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing and enjoy problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, this could be the ideal role for you.

    The successful candidate will provide reactive and preventative maintenance support, ensuring production equipment runs at peak performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Investigate process failures and breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing repairs
    • Work closely with production teams to maintain consistent line performance and efficiency
    • Conduct regular preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance
    • Monitor and log equipment defects, developing plans to resolve issues and improve overall productivity
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance and efficiency
    • Carry out scheduled safety checks and equipment calibration
    • Assist in managing spare parts inventory and availability
    • Provide training to manufacturing support teams as required
    • Support continuous improvement projects and new equipment installations

    Requirements:

    • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent (minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience)
    • ONC/HNC (or similar) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred)
    • Strong experience in fault finding, diagnosing root causes, and repair
    • Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems
    • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
    • Working knowledge of PLC systems and associated equipment
