Join us as our Strategy & Transformation Lead

  • In this role, you'll direct a One Bank strategy to transform operations while partnering with franchises and Centres of Excellence (CoE) to build a transformation blueprint and roadmap
  • Daytoday, you'll collaborate to identify opportunities and leverage on commonalities across bankwide operations in order to bring a purposeled focus to your work
  • As a key member of our team, and a valued advisor to the Director of Operations, you can expect your voice to be heard, your views to be valued and your successes to be recognised

What you'll do:

Your daily responsibilities will see you developing the operating model and operating tool strategies.

You'll be advocating for strategic, simplification and automation initiatives, while overseeing the implementation of all aspects of business change relating to the operations strategy.


Alongside this, you'll collaborate with franchises, CoEs and senior stakeholders to define and build the future operating model for operations across our bank, with a focus on the simplification and digitisation of services.


You'll also be responsible for:

  • Defining our strategic projects to progress operations across our bank, including the operating model, tooling, automation and the transformation roadmap
  • Achieving business strategies and good customer, colleague and business outcomes
  • Shaping the transformation business cases for operations across the bank, securing the required investment and recommending changes to the operational portfolio to meet changing stakeholder needs
  • Providing oversight of the strategic investment portfolio that underpins the strategy to ensure there's a review of the investment progress while managing the stagegate funding decisions
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders to provide a successful transformation delivery and to deal with key risks

The skills you'll need:


To be successful in this role, you'll need experience of strategic management and leadership skills gained in a complex business and operational environment.

You'll also have stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and senior manager levels.


As well as this, you'll have experience of large and complex operations environments and in defining and delivering large-scale transformations in operational environments.

Experience in the financial services sector would be advantageous.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • To be a strategic thinker with the ability to shape and translate the strategy into actionable plans and meaningful objectives
  • Experience of using business architecture, processing reengineering and customer journey designs and in driving automation and digitisation
  • An understanding of operational delivery and financial planning with a strategic awareness and background in leading diverse teams
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of how to produce recommendation papers for executive and senior audiences
