Sacco Mann are recruiting for a Catastrophic Injury Fee Earner to join a highly reputable law firm based at their office in Newcastle.
The role would suit a Catastrophic Injury Fee Earner who can confidently run defendant personal injury cases (ELPL and motor) in excess of £1million.
Our client will welcome CVs from Chartered Legal Executives, or highly experienced non-qualified litigators with the relevant experience.
You will play a vital role in progressing each file from receipt of papers to claim resolution, handling all aspects of liability, quantum, and indemnity issues as they arise.
- Managing a caseload of complex injury claims, ranging up to £10m in value, including severe injuries of the utmost nature.
- Providing comprehensive advice to sophisticated insurer clients, keeping them informed throughout the claims process, and advancing to drafting concise, technical advice on all aspects of catastrophic injury claims.
- Developing strong relationships with the firm's clients to demonstrate your detailed knowledge of their cases and the critical issues impacting catastrophic claims.
- Leveraging your forensic eye for detail and understanding of CAT injury claim issues to ensure all relevant details are considered, drawing on expert evidence, medical records, and other sources.
- Strategically analysing issues such as GCS, RA/PTA, ambulatory issues, level of SCI, and anomalies, translating them into actionable advice on catastrophic injury files.
- Participating in site visits, MDT meetings, client meetings, mediation, and JSMs.
- Engaging with counsel and experts through conferences and phone consultations.
- Mentoring and delegating tasks to junior team members, actively supporting their technical development and achievement of objectives.
- Maintaining uptodate case management systems with management information for clients.
To be considered for this role, you will be a Chartered Legal Executive or a non-qualified senior litigator with the relevant experience.
You will hold significant experience in handling or assisting with large loss or catastrophic injury files, demonstrating the ability to handle cases with supervision or assist at a high level.
