Hoop Professional Services are working with a values driven, welcoming charitable organisation who are currently looking for an assistant accountant to join them on a 12 month FTC to help cover maternity,

They help support and care for people in the local areas and are a really supportive organisation with a really close knit, dedicated finance team which will be an amazing team to join even on the short term.

They also offer hybrid working from either theirBridgend or Cardiff office.

Responsibilities include:

Purchase ledger
Sales ledger
Credit control
Balance sheet reconciliations
Control account reconciliations
Daily banking
Strong experience with month and year end procedures
Bank reconciliations
VAT returns
Raising journals
Cashflow
Maintain fixed asset register
Process expenses
Calculating accruals and prepayments

Person specification:

A background in charity / public sector / other third sector organisations is required.
Strong accounting experience and can get stuck in with the team especially with month/year end.
Can work on multiple systems.
Strong team player.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage own time and workload.
Immediately available ideal 12 weeks notice max.
