The Company

Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working with a dynamic, design and manufacture business with a world-class reputation, seeking to appoint a Senior Buyer into their growing Procurement function

The client offers flexible working.

The Opportunity

Reporting into Senior Management and focused specifically upon NPI sourcing

Key responsibilities:

New supplier sourcing, benchmarking, conducting full tenders and analysis, contract negotiation and award
Supplier performance management and associated KPI performance reporting
Representing Purchasing at key internal project meetings scoping RFPs with key stakeholders
Building cross functional collaborative relationships internally and externally

About You

Proven strategic procurement track record, ideally gained from within in a fast paced, manufacturing environment electronics, electrical and/or automotive sector experience ideal
Able to interpret technical drawings essential
Proven track record of delivery in cost reduction/avoidance, global sourcing experience beneficial
Confident communicator, adept at building relationships quickly
Excellent stakeholder engagement/supplier relationship management and influencing skills
Proactive, assertive, confident decision maker/problemsolver with a handson, can do attitude
Commercially astute strong analytical ability, focused upon continuous improvement
Experienced in ERP systems
Diligent, efficient, strong prioritisation skills
Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities in a fastpaced working environment
