We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Catering Assistant to join us at the Queen's Hospital, Burton on Trent.
If you have a passion for food and customer service and want to gain a qualification whilst working hands on in a role, this apprenticeship programme could be for you Level 2 Hospitality Team Member
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic person to work within our busy Retail outlets alongside our friendly, established team.
Within this role you will be working in a coffee shop making costa beverages, serving customers in a busy restaurant and dealing with card/cash transactions.
Some catering experience is desirable but not essential as further skills will be attained via theLevel 2 Hospitality Team Memberapprenticeship programme.

The main duties of a Catering Assistant is:
- To provide a catering service to patients, visitors and staff whilst observing health, safety and hygiene procedures.
- To deliver good customer care ensuring helpfulness, awareness and compassion to patients, visitors, staff and colleagues.
- To adhere to food hygiene regulations & standards
- To advise the general public and staff on food allergen advice
- Reconciliation and banking of card and cash takings when required.
- Completion of catering department procedural paperwork such as temperature checks and monitoring.
