Job summary
We are partnering with a high-growth founder-led UK retail organisation that continues to scale at pace. With expanding warehouse operations forming the core of the business they are now seeking an experiencedFacilities Manager to take ownership of Health & Safety and site management across both office and distribution environments.
This is a key operational role where warehouse safety compliance and infrastructure performance are central to business success.
- Warehouse safety leadership including risk assessments policies safe systems of work regular inspections audits reviews MHE safety racking inspections manual handling procedures hazardous substances management leading incident investigations implementing preventative actions delivering H&S training toolbox talks aligned operational realities acting primary contact external audits regulatory inspections
- Facilities building management day-to-day maintenance warehouse infrastructure utilities building fabric managing contractors operating within active warehouse areas ensuring fire safety systems emergency procedures environmental standards remaining robust managing service contracts budgets compliance documentation overseeing site security systems CCTV access control managing MHE servicing statutory compliance
- Operational partnership working closely with warehouse leadership ensure facilities enhance workflow layout efficiency safety supporting expansion projects layout changes operational improvements maintaining accurate compliance records certifications line manage receptionist in-house cleaning team providing regular reporting senior leadership risk profile site performance proven facilities management experience within a warehouse logistics industrial environment strong working knowledge UK H&S legislation best practice experience managing MHE compliance racking safety fire systems confident conducting audits investigations risk assessments experience managing contractors within operational settings budget management NEBOSH General Certificate IOSH equivalent essential strong communication leadership capability experience growing fast-paced founder-led business environment highly advantageous High-impact position scaling operation direct influence overwarehouse safetystandards realautonomy stable Monday–Fridayonsite role opportunity build embedstrongsafety-firstculture Apply Now please contact Maxwell Stephens on send CV
