Role overview:


We are looking for an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) Associate to join our team in London.

Reporting to the Head of M&A and Responsible Business, you will provide support in the delivery of our ESG and inorganic growth strategy.

We are an acquisitive group and are always looking for opportunities to evolve our business.


As an ESG and M&A Associate at Next 15, you will:

  • Help meet our ESG certification requirements, such as B Corp, Ecovadis, CDP and ESOS
  • Drive momentum and engagement around our ESG strategy, for example attending and helping to organise ESG Collective calls (made up of representatives from our brands)
  • Collaborate with the consultants assisting us with delivering our ESG strategy and Annual Report disclosure, including TCFD (Task Force on Climaterelated Financial Disclosures)
  • Support brands with responding to client requests for information on our ESG initiatives
  • Complete research on prospective and existing client projects to ensure they are aligned with our values
  • Engage regularly with our brands (at all levels) about incorporating ESG into client work
  • Collaborate with our environmental consultants engaged to collate and expand the scope of our environmental data
  • Help implement strategies designed to reduce our environmental impact, such as renewable energy and travel reduction
  • Organise our internal green team (Green 15) meetings and initiatives
  • Work with our environmental consultants and brands on the implementation of Environmental Management Systems across our portfolio of offices to achieve ISO 14001 certification
  • Help design and implement training on ESG topics for our brands
  • Monitor and help build awareness of our people initiatives, for example the activities of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Council
  • Review ESG aspects of our supplier assessment
  • Help establish and grow external partnerships, for example The Business Climate Challenge and find ways to engage and influence through community outreach programmes, for example through onHand (our volunteer and climate impact platform)
  • Perform research on acquisition targets. This includes both proactive research to find suitable targets in priority segments and reviews of inbound Investment Memorandums received from our network of brokers.
  • Assist the Head of M&A with project management of ongoing deals
  • Carry out ESG due diligence during acquisition execution

You will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
