Over the past several years, Code First Girls has become the largest provider of free coding courses for women and non binary individuals and has trained 80,000+ women and delivered over £54 million worth of free technology education to date.


Through its disruptive and highly successful B2B subscription model, Code First Girls has experienced huge growth since 2020 and has already built a unique community of women coders, of which 57% are from underrepresented groups.

Code First Girls has just received 4.5 million in Series A investment and is currently scaling operations internationally and building the world's richest source of data for women tech talent.


About you

About the role

Curriculum development


You will be responsible for developing Code First Girls technical curriculums in line with skills gaps, client and community demand.

You will identify knowledge gaps through in-depth research, including consultations with clients to create world class teaching curriculums and assessments.

Once tested and approved you will work with the programme management team to ensure a seamless transition of new content through to instructors and learners.

You will bring your curiosity and extensive experience in tech to ensure we stay at the forefront of technology trends in highly effective learning environments.


Learner experience


You will work closely with our Learner Experience & Data insight teams to understand the experience of our students across all CFG courses specifically related to curriculum content and delivery.

As well as regular feedback mechanisms you will host client and user experience sessions to ensure the curriculum is highly regarded and keeps up with technological advancements and industry requirements.


Team management


You will manage a team of in-house instructors and freelance content creators to ensure content is delivered to a high standard and in line with our product roadmap.

You will have the freedom and support to build a team to meet our growing product offering.


Requirements and qualifications

  • Have a strong technical background across multiple coding languages
  • Experience in designing and delivering technical learning content
  • Ability to break complex coding concepts down into easy to digest content for beginners through to intermediate level coders
  • Strong experience of managing projects and key stakeholders
  • Ability to innovate and stay ahead of tech education trends
  • Datadriven: you enjoy using feedback data to drive change
  • A true passion to work in education and technology
  • Experience of bootcamps or coding programmes is an advantage

Location:

Code First Girls offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements & operates between remote working and a London based office.
