An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Support Office to join the Wales Maternity & Neonatal Network, with is part of the NHS Wales Executive, hosted by Public Health Wales.

Working on behalf of the Welsh Government, the Executive's role is to provide strong leadership and strategic direction and enable and support the delivery of national priorities and standards.


As part of the NHS Wales Executive the Network drives improvements in the quality and safety of perinatal care and support across Wales to deliver better and more equitable outcomes, access, and experience, reduced unwarranted variation, and improve population health.


  • Providing excellent general administrative support
  • Supporting the maintenance, management and oversight of work plans, projects and programme plans.
  • Supporting preparations for meetings and events in a timely and detailed manner including development of presentations and other supporting documentation.
  • Taking minutes at face to face and online meetings
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work
  • Taking responsibility for the management of defined areas of work required by the Programme Manage

The NHS Wales Executive (The Executive) is a new, national support function, hosted by Public Health Wales, and directed Welsh Government.


The Executive is an essential element in making the health system in Wales fit for the future and achieving A Healthier Wales vision of a whole-system approach to providing excellent health and social care across Wales.

Working on behalf of Welsh Government, The Executive's role in supporting this mission is to provide strong national leadership and strategic direction, enable, support and, where necessary, intervene to ensure the delivery of national priorities and standards, to drive improvements in the quality and safety of care to achieve better, fairer healthcare outcomes for the people of Wales.


The main duties of the Project Support Officer is to support specific projects and sub-groups within the Wales Maternity and Neonatal Network as well as providing general administrative support.


The post holder will:

- provide general administrative support
- support the maintenance, management and oversight of project plans
- support the development and management of required documentation
- take responsibility for the management of defined areas of work within specific projects
- support the management of budgets
- support stakeholder communications and engagement
- produce reports on progress for internal and external use
