Accounts Assistant (Hybrid)


Reports To:
Finance Manager


Summary of Position:
Hospitality Line are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full time basis.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days a week from home with 2 days commuting to the office, assisting the Finance Manager with daily duties and month end preparations.

The Accounts Assistant will be required to carry out duties in accordance with Accounts
Payable/Receivable, in addition to month end reconciliations and procedures.

For AP, this will involve the inputting and validating invoice information on our booking systems as well as dealing with supplier queries and payments.

You AR duties will include raising invoices, allocating receipts and maintaining Customer accounts so that invoices are paid within credit terms.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volumes of invoices against booking system
  • Communicating & resolving disputes with suppliers
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Processing of sales invoices and allocating receipts
  • Credit Control
  • Create & process Supplier payment batches
  • Undertaking bank reconciliations
  • Credit Card processing & reconciliations
  • Interaction with various departments, responding to queries

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Competent use of MS office including excel (can do Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's and preferably IF sums)
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritise a changing to do list
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Selfmotivated and proactive
  • Ability to work under pressure

Experience Required:

  • Proven track record in an accounts assistant role or similar role
  • Experience in processing high volumes of invoices

Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch), 5 days a week

£22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
