Description

Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for Children's Social Care Assistants with a talent for administration and an interest in working with children and families, to take up the opportunity to join our Area Services North Team based at Ridingleaze House in Lawrence Weston.

Within the Area Service, working as part of a team alongside Social Workers and Family Support Workers, you will be providing services to children and young people in need of protection and support.

Our Children's Social Care Assistants play a central role by supporting unit staff with a wide range of administrative duties to free up frontline workers to spend more time with children and families.

Chidren's Social Care Assistants in the service say their role is challenging but rewarding and extremely varied and that the small teams offer a supportive environment.

You will need to organise a wide range of administrative tasks in your unit and support the team to manage their busy workload.

The Children's Social Care Assistant is the first point of contact for the unit so a professional telephone manner is essential.

You will also need to able to deal with information in a confidential and sensitive manner.

You will need excellent administrative skills including managing appointments and diaries, supporting budget work and helping to distribute performance information.

You must be able to work under your own initiative and use a creative, flexible approach to overcome challenges that may arise.

We currently have three full time permanent positions, and would consider offering these on a part time basis (18.5 hours).
