Purpose of role:To work within a team who are responsible for the effective management of team rotas, considering qualification requirements, geographical locations and other external factors.


Key tasks:


  • Monitoring trainer capacity and advising on availability for course delivery and trainer development.
  • Developing and managing demand management processes.
  • Maximising utilisation of trainers within agreed targets.
  • Managing the geographical allocation of staff appropriately across numerous locations.
  • Manage the Trainer Leave and TOIL processes.

What do I need to do the role?

  • 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Specific IT/data/business/projectbased qualification.
  • Ability to plan working schedules of circa. 100 staff, ensuring all required trainer resource is allocated.
  • Intermediate Excel capability: Including ability to work with basic formulas.
  • Demonstrable analysis and reporting ability; able to analyse data and develop new and existing reports providing a range of detail.
  • IT literate and able to use a variety of software (including MS Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Demonstrable ability to quickly learn, utilise and exploit new IT based solutions.
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • Highly organised and methodical.
  • Motivated by technical challenge.
  • Logical and structured decision making.
  • Highly selfmotivated.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Results focused with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Company / industry knowledge:
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Experience working with workforce planning and / or rota management.
  • Experience with working with Orchestrate planning tool would be beneficial.
