Purpose of role:To work within a team who are responsible for the effective management of team rotas, considering qualification requirements, geographical locations and other external factors.
Key tasks:
- Monitoring trainer capacity and advising on availability for course delivery and trainer development.
- Developing and managing demand management processes.
- Maximising utilisation of trainers within agreed targets.
- Managing the geographical allocation of staff appropriately across numerous locations.
- Manage the Trainer Leave and TOIL processes.
What do I need to do the role?
- 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English or equivalent.
- Specific IT/data/business/projectbased qualification.
- Ability to plan working schedules of circa. 100 staff, ensuring all required trainer resource is allocated.
- Intermediate Excel capability: Including ability to work with basic formulas.
- Demonstrable analysis and reporting ability; able to analyse data and develop new and existing reports providing a range of detail.
- IT literate and able to use a variety of software (including MS Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Demonstrable ability to quickly learn, utilise and exploit new IT based solutions.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Highly organised and methodical.
- Motivated by technical challenge.
- Logical and structured decision making.
- Highly selfmotivated.
- Able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Results focused with the ability to work under pressure.
- Company / industry knowledge:
- Experience working with large data sets.
- Experience working with workforce planning and / or rota management.
- Experience with working with Orchestrate planning tool would be beneficial.
