Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Services Advisor to help provide critical recruitment, FTE control for up to 260 staff and project support for the directorate's ongoing People Strategy.

The role will give the postholder a broad range of strategy, management, resourcing, project and delivery experience.

This role will require experience handling business administration and the postholder would benefit from an understanding of the mechanics of how Government finance functions operate and must be able to get to grips quickly with the projects that underpin it.

We are looking for someone to join our diverse and inclusive team and will be confident in advising the Head of NZB Domestic Business Enabler Function.

You are likely to be a self
- starter and will help lead and inspire change in a small successful team. We seek those who can champion engagement across Net Zero Buildings Domestic directorate in project, human resourcing, governance reporting and communications activity.

You will bring a real passion to the role and provide innovative ways to achieve your targets. You will be creative and positive about transforming tracking tools. We are a hardworking and creative team and welcome those who can bring energy and confidence to the directorate. You will enjoy flexible working with equal opportunities on offer whilst working collaboratively across numerous policy areas.

You will work towards building something better and enjoy the learning and development on offer.

Would you like to join to our diverse and inclusive team?

The role is based in the Net Zero Buildings Domestic directorate (NZB-D) which is part of Net Zero Buildings and Industry.

NZB-D enjoys a versatile project-based environment where each member of the team is responsible for delivering one or more objectives, often working closely with colleagues across the Directorate and more widely across BEIS.

We operate a flexible resourcing model, which means that individual roles and responsibilities can be varied over time if the Directorate priorities change.

The NZB-D Directorate is supported by a number of specialists, so you will have the opportunity to work in a cross-functional team involving economists, scientists, lawyers, consumer insight and industry experts and statisticians.
