Bromyard Community Transport, a voluntary organisation, is looking for an Office and Finance Administrator to join its small and busy team for 12 hours a week, 4 hours a day Wednesday to Friday, timings to be agreed.
In this role you will be involved in the delivery of high quality, accessible and inclusive transport to the community of Bromyard and its surrounding area.
In addition to the main responsibilites listed below you will support the office team with community transport bookings liaising closely with customers and volunteer drivers.
Main responsibilities:
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks utilising Sage accounting software and to accurately maintain accounting documents and records.
- Handling cash and receipts, preparing bank deposits and keep banking records up to date.
- Maintain and update customer, volunteer and vehicle details on the TMS.
- Provide quotations for minibus hire and implement the related process.
- Liaise with Manager and maintain and update the organisations social media profile and its website.
- Assist in promotional activities including the production and revision of project literature.
- Production of monthly reports and completion of Excel spreadsheet returns to a funding stakeholder.
Full training will be provided on the specifics of the role however it is essential for applicants to have experience utilising Sage or a similar accounting package.
The following skills and attributes are required:
- Highly organised, effective time management and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent IT skills and be proficient in all Microsoft programmes.
- Previous experience and knowledge of Sage accounting software or similar.
- Accuracy, good head for figures and attention to detail.
- Effective written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of social media for marketing purposes.
- Motivated, enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a small team and on your own initiative.
- Compassion and empathy plus the desire to work with and for your community.
- Flexible approach to working arrangements.
- Knowledge of Bromyard's geographical area is advantageous but not essential.
