We are pleased to advertise for an assistant psychologist on a fixed post for 9months. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work in the Bexley Community

Learning Disability Team; a small friendly multi-disciplinary team in South EastLondon.


You would also be part of a thriving learning disability psychology speciality with seventeen clinical staff working in three community learning disability teams across three boroughs.

The psychology speciality is a creative and innovative one, encouraging research and service evaluation, with a strong focus on measuringoutcomes.


The psychology speciality and Oxleas value highly the involvement and expertiseof service users - from their being part of interviews for all posts, through toprojects to enable their voices to be heard and to influence services.

You would have a varied workload supporting the work of the clinical psychologistsand behaviour specialists within the team. You would have weekly supervision withas Clinical Psychologist as well as formal and informal opportunities to developyour career.

We are looking for someone with a real interest in working with people withlearning disabilities.

You will be psychology graduate with an upper second-classdegree or higher who is eligible for graduate membership for the BritishPsychological Society (BPS).

You should have experience of working with peoplewith either a learning disability or mental health issues.
