Research Training Lead - Cloud-SPAN:


We are looking for people enthusiastic about training the UK research and innovation community in data science on a UKRI-funded project called Cloud-SPAN.

Cloud-SPAN is a collaboration between the University of York and the Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) which aims to upskill bioscience researchers in the specialised analyses for Cloud-based High Performance Computing.


Role:


Skills, Experience & Qualification needed:


  • You will have a first degree in a science discipline which included a computational component and a PhD in biology with a computational component or equivalent experience.
  • You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of a range of computational methods.
  • Some knowledge of omics data would be an advantage.
  • You will have great communication skills and a high degree of empathy for learners.
  • You will be enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and expertise with novices.
