Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a specialist engineering business providing bespoke solutions to the manufacturing sector where factors such as rapid prototyping and iterations are essential, in addition to a high level of digital twinning.

Theyare seeking an Account Manager on a permanent basis.

The Role
They are now looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their busy sales team.

Focused on sales growth and the winning of new business with existing customers, you will be required to work with teams from across the business to ensure you meet the targetsfor sales, profit and growth.

Principally focused on the rail sector. The position will require travel, sometimes at short notice and outside of the UK, as and when required.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting the deployment of the Customer Engagement System ensuring collaborative working practices.
  • Working with the sales and operations team to plan, prepare and deliver responses to ITT/RFQ, presentations and proposals to existing and prospective customers.
  • Working closely with the Product Management team to deliver new products to the market
  • Achieving sales targets, profit and growth for designated customers both in sales and margins.
  • Understanding, articulating and selling the product and service propositions.
  • Undertaking financial analysis of all sales ensuring margins are maximised and profit delivered in line with plan.
  • Producing of management information for both internal and external use to deliver improvements and exceed customer's expectations.
  • Communicating clearly, robustly, and timely with the customer

The Person
Excellent communication skills are required along with time management skills and a high level of IT literacy.

Previous experience of proposal writing and technical comprehension along with the ability to sell and negotiate with closing skills are also requirementsfor the role.


You will be well versed in creating and supporting bids and proposals for work, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering or digital capacity and demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness to ensure margins and revenues are achieved alongside offeringa fair and transparent cost model to the customer.

Previous experience working within a business-wide CRM is highly advantageous for the position of Account Manager.
