Operational Resilience Manager - ARDEJ Home Based

Context of the Role


We are pleased to be offering an exciting opportunity for 2 experienced and committed operational resilience specialists to help lead our Operational Resilience ambition programme, reporting to our Head of Operational Resilience.


This role is key to embedding and maturing our operational resilience capability to ensure we remain resilient to disruptive events and maintain continuity of services for our clients and stakeholders.


Purpose of the role


You will drive our operational resilience ambition agenda and framework to meet our regulatory requirements and use your knowledge of resilience, business continuity, risks and related controls, to identify weaknesses and implement appropriate improvementmeasures and of course test these both within our business and with our external third parties.


Your experience will support our governance approach, development of our 7 Operational Resilience workstreams and will drive the reinvention of our organisational business continuity programme.

You will also champion the importance of operational resilienceacross the business, creating a positive learning culture through coaching and training, leading cross organisational working to ensure we continue to support our growth ambitions.


What you will do:

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.


  • Exercise operational resilience and business continuity practices (all elements) to support the delivery of the operational resilience framework in line with regulatory obligations.
  • Produce documentation in line with the Operational Resilience Programme of work ensuring People, Process, Technology, Supplier, data and facilities dependencies are documented. e.g. impact tolerances, process mapping and vulnerabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments, across the business to ensure all necessary documentation and actions are completed.
  • Perform scenario testing and crisis exercise across all IBS to assess current state and identify vulnerabilities that feed the ongoing remediation plans.
  • Develop Business Continuity and Operational Resilience MI using Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Perform effective oversight for Resilience through risk management and auditing practices.
  • Manage business incidents.
  • Prepare our operational resilience selfassessment for the Regulators.

Who we are looking for


We are looking for experienced Operational Resilience Managers with proven track records in developing and executing operational resilience strategies and managing and meeting regulatory requirements.


We are seeking:

  • Experience with an insurance or financial services environment ideally.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including report writing, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering board level presentations.
  • Knowledge of operational resilience strategies and regulatory requirements.


You will need to be a highly organised team player with efficient time management practices who is a self-starter, managing their own time and workload.

We want someone enthusiastic with an appetite for working in a fast-paced regulated environment.

If youhave experience implementing a BCMS system firmwide using a partnering approach, that would be advantageous, as would a recognised resilience/continuity related qualification.
