Technical Academy Training Manager (VTA Manager)

£30,000pa to £35,000pa

9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (office based)

Role:
To manage and oversee all training programmes for the Company's Technical Academy. Responsible for course creation, development and delivery, including supporting training delegates in a commercial learning environment.


This includes identifying the training needs of current and future delegates, assessing new tools, software, hardware and new or updated tuning methods and continuously improve training course content as a result.


  • The VTA Manager will develop curriculum and training materials and implement training programmes
  • Develop VTA programs for registration with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and support the progression of training delegate through to the required training qualifications
  • Supporting the delivery of highquality courses, online tutorials or in a classroom/Workshop environment
  • Manage, develop, and grow the LMS Software and in conjunction with the Group Organisation Development Director
  • Manage Training Delegates enrolled and maintain reports for management team meetings
  • Support the promotion, sales, marketing and hosting of training delegates
  • Managing training course development, creation of curriculum materials, content and publication.
  • Create learning outcomes and assessment strategies
  • Managing course bookings for webinars, seminars, classroom tutorials and or online training
  • Maintain online courses
  • Maintain course content with updates and new innovations with vehicle types, hardware, software or working techniques
  • Provide Demonstrations and Training to Client and Master Dealers
  • Determining and assessing The Technical Teams training and employee development needs from failure analysis and or developments/advances in File Writing Techniques, Tools and or Software
  • Create Technical Bulletins for distribution to Training Delegates and other interested parties.
  • Creating training materials and programmes to address specific business objectives
  • Maintain reports via the LMS Software, keeping records and managing training budgets and enrolment targets
  • Working with employees and management to ensure the achievement of technical training objectives within the business
  • Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness and success of training programmes via survey and post training feedback
  • Keeping uptodate on the latest training trends, developments and best practices in the industry
  • Identifying and implementing a wide range of training techniques to improve efficiency and returns on investment
  • Managing employee and delegate enrolment for training, schedule training sessions and organising the resources to facilitate training programmes
  • Send out joining instructions for onsite training
  • Arrange hospitality for onsite training delegates on a 15 day training program

  • Experienced Trainer of mature students
  • Ability to create and develop training programmes
  • Ability to define learning outcomes and course assessment strategies
  • Experience with SCORM compliant software in an online Learning Management Software
  • Course Bookings [ZOHO]
  • Strong administration skills
  • Great communicator
  • Good multitasking and time management skills
  • Social media savvy
  • Strong MS office skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in a foreign language desirable and not essential
