The Role:
You will be responsible for providing executive support to the Chair & Chief Executive.
Your role will include providing a full range of executive administration, coordination and secretarial support delivered independently and to a high standard.
You will be responsible for the management of the Chair & Chief Executive's busy diaries to ensure effective and appropriate use of their time by allocating appointments using discretion, and exercising significant influencing skills allowing prioritisation of the Chair & Chief Executive's workload to meet deadlines.
Both the Chief Executive and Board Chair attend (and sometimes chair) National meetings and the PA will ensure that all the necessary paperwork is available, including ensuring that any briefing materials are sourced and available to the Chair & Chief Executive.

What we'll need you to bring:
- A relevant secretarial qualification at HND/HNC level or equivalent.
- In addition, significant experience working for a senior manager within a complex organisation.
- Advanced knowledge of detailed secretarial procedures, including shorthand and software programmes.
- Ability to organise and work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of performance monitoring processes and reporting systems with a demonstrated ability to collate and analyse data.
- Selfmotivated person with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to devise detailed administrative processes.
It would be great if you also have:
- Previous NHS / Public sector experience
- Shorthand / Audio skills

Location and Working Pattern:
This role will be based within NHS Lanarkshire Board Headquarters, Kirklands Hospital, Bothwell.
The working pattern for this role Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
