Description

We are seeking a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist wishing to develop their skills in Head and Neck, to join our friendly, highly skilled Multidisciplinary Macmillan Team at Pinderfields Hospital.

You do not need any Head & Neck experience necessarily; just a keen desire to help adults who are about to undergo, or who have had, life changing head and neck cancer treatment.

You will be assessing and treating people with communication and swallowing difficulties pre and post cancer treatment, working closely with, and as part of, our award winning Macmillan Team.

In this rewarding, specialist role you will gain experience in managing a wide range of ENT and Maxillofacial patients and develop skills with laryngectomees, including Surgical Voice Restoration.

We will provide you with access to peer support, regular 1:1 meetings with the Lead Clinicians, appraisals and clinical supervision.

We will actively encourage CPD, attendance at the Head & Neck CEN, and training opportunities including developing instrumental assessment skills in videofluoroscopy and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES)
