Mains Laying and New Connections Teams

Our Role

As a Mains Laying / New Connections Operative/Team, you will be working on the Yorkshire Water Developer Services contract. Working to meet the needs of the client and their customers in the most costeffective manner, whilst working with your team. You will provide technical expertise, experience, and work within a team to deliver a firstclass service to Yorkshire Water customers.
You will be competent on working in Water Networks. You will be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your teams on completing work right first time.
You will provide support to ensure that the company's work is effectively completed through communication with internal and external customers, as well as the management of the business and client database systems

Key Responsibilities

You will have good knowledge of site safety and site set ups with the public and team mem bers welfare being essential
You will have knowledge and experience of Mains Laying and/or New Connections
You will maintain a customer focus
You will have good timekeeping and good housekeeping with tools and equipment
You will use GARD (smartphone system) to deliver all feedback for commercial and, where necessary, reinstatement feedback
You will liaise with the Support Services and Street works Team to ensure that FPN and Section74 liabilities are managed and focus on a right firsttime attitude

Experience and Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e., NRWSA at supervisory level
Good Health and safety knowledge IOSH beneficial (not essential)
Firm understanding of "right first time"
Excellent communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Shea Water
EUSR Blue Card
Avoidance of underground utilities
