TITLE - Rail Supervisor
SALARY - Dependant on experience
PURPOSE OF ROLE - The Site Supervisor will be responsible to the Site Manager and will assist the Site Management Team to ensure that the commitments detailed within the Safety, Quality & Environmental Policy Statements are met ensuring Statutory and Client Satisfaction and those duties below are met:
- Based from Leeds but be willing to travel across the LNE/LNW route (Carlisle
- London Euston & Berwick upon Tweed
- Kings Cross) to various worksites
- Set out, coordinate and implement the site offices, canteens and other welfare arrangements.
- Write method statements for all temporary site arrangements as required by the Site Manager.
- Comply with all aspects of construction phase Health and Safety plans regarding all temporary site arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with any Quality or Environmental Plans for the project
- Supervise the installation of all Building & roofing systems as per the manufacturers' instructions and specifications
- Check drawings are up to date from drawing register and issue work to the roofing gangs, in accordance with Contract Managers instructions.
- Check materials and labour are onsite in accordance with programme requirements, as required to produce good quality work.
- Ensure there is a safe system of work in place for all roofing activities and scaffolding, and that safety equipment is provided at the correct time.
- If circumstances change in the Building, roofing or associated areas, inform the Contract Manager or Senior Structural Engineer and ensure agreed variations are adhered to.
- Issue, monitor and check daytoday work of roof workers & subcontractors.
- Taking accurate levels
- Ensure his own and the workforce compliance to the SHEQ Responsibility Statements
Experience/Qualification
- PTS (Personnel Track Safety Certificate)
- At least 5 years experience
- Specialist Roofing & building skills
- Various Construction Skills to CITB or equivalent
- First Aid
- Full Driver's Licence
