Paces is a specialist centre, School and Charity all rolled into one We support children and adults living with neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, MS, Parkinson's and Brain Injury.

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual, with a flexible attitude and approach to join Paces as a Fundraiser to raise funds by supporting, planning and leading on events whilst also supporting the wider fundraising team needs.


Ideally, you will have experience working within events and be confident in identifying and building successful partnerships with a range of supporters.

Working closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager your main responsibilities will include managing and promoting the current calendar of events aswell as nurturing and developing brand new partnerships with organisations not currently working with Paces whilst working to achieve targeted fundraising income.

The post-holder will be required to work with individual fundraisers, as well as organising large scale events.

This will include maintaining relationships with supporters, external partners, acting as the first point of contact for event activity and providing friendly advice and excellent administration for all event fundraising activity.

Roles and Responsibilities


Events:

  • Plan, support and deliver events and activities for Paces (including recruiting and overseeing volunteers) and encourage participation in third party events organised externally.
  • Develop new and imaginative fundraising events.
  • Continually review and evaluate all events to deliver against annual KPI's, budgets and plans.
  • Work with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to encourage corporate supporters to take part in events.
  • Increase income from events within agreed expenditure to achieve targets set by the Fundraising Manager.
  • Working with the Fundraising and Communications Manager, to help secure sponsorship for events from businesses and to encourage matched giving when appropriate.
  • Work with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to produce promotional material for events.
  • Undertake promotional activities at suitable venues and events.
  • Check the progression of fundraising including online fundraising pages and offer assistance with fundraising when needed.
  • Undertake risk assessments for events ensuring that Paces is Health and Safety compliant.
  • Ensure acknowledgement processes are followed and that supporters are thanked to show appropriate recognition for event participation.
  • To provide supporters with feedback on the use of donations to keep them engaged.
  • To achieve agreed fundraising targets through new and existing supporters.
  • To ensure that full and detailed records are kept of all contacts and income.
  • To arrange cheque presentations and presenting to groups etc.
  • Work with departmental heads to organise and coordinate relevant visits to Paces for existing and potential supporters.
  • Undertake other Fundraising related duties as required by the Fundraising and Communications Manager.

General:

  • Develop and nurture new partnerships with Paces through networking events, via LinkedIn, at events etc.
  • Promote a culture of fundraising throughout the organisation.
  • To attend regular team meetings.
  • Create an excellent supporter journey for all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as an ambassador for Paces, protecting its good name and reputation at all times.
  • Must be able to work outside of core hours which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Undertake other duties as requested by line management.

Pay:
£28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
