About the Role
Sense is recruiting for a Head of People Partnering to join our forward-thinking People Team, based in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR professional with experience of leading people partnering and advice services, leadership & management training, and pay and reward offerings, to be a part of ensuring the continued success of enabling Sense to be an employer of choice.

As a key part of the People Leadership team, this role will work on a hybrid basis in Birmingham, with regular travel between there and London.


The main duties and responsibilities include:

Lead a team of People Partners, and HR Advisors to design, plan and deliver an organisation-aligned people agenda and employee offer.

Responsible for maintaining and reviewing an effective reward strategy, implemented consistently across the organisation. Including benchmarking and the development of our reward scheme.
Develop and manage the benefits package to attract and retain talent.
Review and development of Leadership and Management training.
Creation and ownership of talent management and succession planning.
Be an active member of the People Leadership team helping shape our People Plan.
Building strong collaborative relationships across the wider People team, and organisation.

Ensure that the advice, guidance and expertise we provide, is timely, accurate, customer focused and balances our appetite for risk.

Lead the team in the development and review of employment policies.

Maintain a good understanding of the regulatory requirements for employee data across our core business areas and the differing nations of the UK.


To succeed in this role, you will have:
Up to date knowledge of employment law, recent case law and best practise.
Proven experience of leading a people partnering and HR advice service across a complex geographically dispersed organisation.
Demonstrable experience of modelling and implementing pay and reward strategies to ensure fair and competitive recognition policies.
Proven experience of creating and embedding leadership and management training programmes in line with a leadership framework.

Experience of initiating and leading change to support the ever-changing needs of an organisation, in order to deliver its strategic outcome.

Excellent relationship building and communication, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others at all levels.

Able to comply with the principles of GDPR and maintain confidentiality at all times.
