Description

We are currently in the process of expanding and developing our existing mental health services for children and young people (CYP), which includes this exciting development working within South Tyneside primary care services as part of the Lifespan Model.

We are seeking applicants with outstanding skills, knowledge, and experience of working with young people and their families.

The applicant will be a primary care mental health practitioner working alongside B7 Practitioners and will work closely with families/young people/schools and other professionals linked to the young person's care to meet any low level mental health or behavioural difficulty, with time limited interventions.

Applicants must have strong communication and organisational skills and will be required to work collaboratively with partners, demonstrating the effectiveness of this service through the consistent use of appropriate outcome measures.

This is a very exciting, diverse role, as such it will be vital to have positive working relationships with the primary and secondary care team, as well as third sector organisations.

They will have extensive experience of working with children and young people within a mental health setting and who can work autonomously within GP practices and is also an effective team member.

The introduction of PCMHP role for CYP is new within this locality as part of the Lifespan Model, as such it will give the post holder an excellent opportunity to shape, influence, and develop the services for CYP in primary care moving forward, while being supported by the clinical team.

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future.

In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.
