Job title:
Quality Leader - Field Product Assurance II


Location:
Any UK location. (Home/Hybrid working with client site visits); frequent presence at Barrow Site required; Car supplied.

What you'll be doing:


  • Mentoring and leading a group of special process field engineers (e.g., NDT, welding, coating, cleaning etc)
  • Leading with a safety mindset
  • Developing, maintaining, and managing key relationships in the business both internally and externally
  • Data driven decision making, reporting and analysis
  • Designing and developing special process maturity framework in alignment with Quality strategy
  • Maintaining programme schedule with a delivery mindset

Your skills and experiences:


  • Proven welding and engineering experience
  • PCN/NACE/CSWIP qualifications
  • Qualified in welding/engineering to Degree / HND level & can demonstrate suitable experience
  • Knowledge of the marine industry, standards, products, or similar (e.g. Automotive, Aerospace)
  • Ability to translate technical information and present in a clear and concise manner across multiple audiences
  • Advanced Excel & project planning tools experience
  • Proven auditing experience

The Field Product assurance II team:

As a Quality Leader, you will work with a team that is responsible for quality assurance and ensuring the supply chain have the correct capability to be able to manufacture and deliver quality products to BAE Systems submarines with zero defects.
