Description

Role purpose:

The coordinator will have responsibility for handling the external & internal order demands for the cutting operation. In conjunction with the cutting manager and supervisors the coordinator will agree and communicate production schedules as appropriate.


The coordinator will also schedule hide orders internally on mainstream production systems/processes and finally ensure that all cut part/cut kits invoicing and shipping is coordinated as per the customer requirement.


Key accountabilities:


  • Translate customer schedules, ensuring that the correct information is communicated to the internal supply chain to meet leather requirements.
  • Effectively manage and control all buffer and mainstream stock profiles across all customers.
  • Effectively manage the distribution of all works orders as required to maintain the kanban stock levels.
  • Participate in NPI meets to ensure the successful implementation of new programs into the department/business.
  • Effectively manage the full end to end administration process for all goods dispatched, ensuring invoices are raised and managed in line with the wider administration process.
  • Informing the business (line manager) of the movement of goods/materials and orders, highlighting any potential risks that will affect production planning.
  • Keeping current and accurate system data for pricing, account codes and part descriptions, ensuring that a change management process is rigidly followed and communicated both internally and externally.
  • Be the primary contact for all customer delivery information/communication.
  • Build meaningful relationships, ensuring effective communications between all parties both internal/external that ensures the smooth running of LCD and the successful implementation of new programs.

Experience Desired:


  • Experience in a similar role preferably in a manufacturing/industrial setting, with a good understanding of operational KPI's.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to regularly changing demands.
  • Competent IT Skills with the ability to adapt to new systems to support improving efficiency within processes.
