Location:
York or Gatwick

Basic Salary; circa £24,000 plus Companywide benefits

This role is ideally 3 days per week and is a Part-time permanent opportunity, but we are always open to discuss individual's flexible working needs so please speak to use during the recruitment process to understand what this could look like for you

This role includes monthly visits to various Factory locations in the UK


Position Summary
We have an excellent opportunity to join our Nestlé team as a Supplier Quality Expert.


In this role you will provide you quality expertise Provide expertise in the first line of defence for NUKI, ensuring all ingredients and contract manufacturers meet Nestlé quality and food safety expectations.

Liaise with other parts of the NIM business to ensure there is a co-ordinated approach to "source" activities.

A day in the life of a Supplier Quality Expert

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Approvals
  • Assess risk, plan and approve by off-site and on-site audits of raw material & packaging suppliers, contract manufacturers and service providers. Approve proposed corrective actions and verify close-out. Record audit findings and report.


  • Quality Supply Data

  • Manage data in SAP for vendor sites, raw & packaging materials, nonfood items, specifications and chemical contaminants.


  • Quality System

  • Suggest and carry out improvements to market Supply Quality system in liaison with Nestlé Factories and other stakeholders.


  • Training

  • Provide training to Nestlé Factory Supply Quality Specialists, Innovation & Renovation and other stakeholders.
  • Supplier Complaints react to notifications and follow through with appropriate escalation.


  • Specialist Support

  • Provide Supply Quality expertise and support to Nestlé factories, Procurement, Innovation & Renovation and fellow Market Quality colleagues.


  • Team working

  • Provide cover for other team members and represent team at Head Office Supply Quality meetings.

What will make you successful?

  • Science related degree
  • Food Manufacturing / Science
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Systems
  • BRC / ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000


  • Lead Auditor Experience

  • Fast Moving Consumer Goods Experience preferably Food manufacturing
  • Capability for independent working with a keen eye for detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel to other sites to support and influence others to comply with Nestlé requirements within the market.
