We are currently recruiting an HSE Coordinator/Advisor to join our site-based HSE team in Blackburn and Bradford.
This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Blackburn site with occasional travel to our Bradford site.

Who are we looking for?

This is a great entry-level role for someone who is looking to pave a career for themselves within HSE (Health, Safety and Environment).

We are looking for someone with previous administration experience and some form of health & safety knowledge/experience.

Strong communication skills will be essential for this role as we require someone to have a hands-on approach to drive and support the site teams (production, technical, engineering, training etc.) to ensure HSE performance is adhered to.


The role of a HSE Coordinator/Advisor at BBF

  • Reporting to the Multi-Site HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator/Advisor will have a handson approach to drive and support the site teams to ensure HSE performance is continually managed on a daytoday basis in adherence with Group/Site Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist with the monitoring of the Site HSE plans in conjunction with the Site Leadership team and Multi-Site HSE Manager.
  • Support the delivery of the site HSE plan to improve performance at the Site.
  • Play a pivotal role of the delivery of HSE committee meetings at site.
  • Support in monitoring the site accident/incident management process to ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported, investigated and a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Assist with the HSE Site audit programmes to ensure compliance with agreed standards and escalate issues to the Site Management Team & HSE Manager.
  • Assist in the collation of HSE KPI information
  • Assist the HSE Manager with the coordination of local Stakeholder relationships (HSE, Customers, Local Community, Water Company, and Environment Agency) and ensure no compliance issues.
  • Support in the Implementation of Behavioural Safety/Environmental initiatives
  • Assist in driving a positive culture towards HSE in all operational activities across all functions to support keeping people healthy and safe
