Anti-Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Operation Unit within the Bath area.

We are looking for a flexible and highly motivated person with exceptional people skills who relishes the opportunity to empower vulnerable individuals to regain control of their lives.


Key Responsibilities:


The role of
Specialist Support Worker is fundamental to The Salvation Army's desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate You will also champion excellence in terms of ensuring our clients are central to our services and successful individual outcomes are achieved.


You will be experienced in working in a supported housing environment and be Level 3 NVQ qualified or equivalent in a relevant field or be willing to work towards it.


As a
Specialist Support Worker, you will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of trafficking including sexual exploitation, domestic servitude or forced labour and other forms of modern slavery.

Delivering a service to those at highest risk as well as working within a multi-agency framework working with the Home Office, police, legal representatives, medical practitioners, local authority and housing.


The Salvation Army have it's own training college and all staff will be required to undergo a number of training courses upon completion of their probationary period.

You will receive training in the following areas:

  • Modern Slavery
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Understanding Health and Safety


  • Action Against Terrorism

  • Introduction to Mental Health
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Management of Problem Substance use
  • Suicide Awareness Training
  • Harm Reduction Training


  • Unconscious Bias

  • Principles of Trauma informed practices
