THE ROLE
Key responsibilities will include;

  • Routinely interacting with all Stakeholders in relation to Pipeline Safety.
  • Being the primary point of contact for landowners with pipelines on their land.
  • Liaising with 3rd parties for works near high pressure pipelines, being able to understand and articulate the requirements to ensure for safe working practices are always in place.
  • Understand the restrictions on working within a pipeline easement and the hazards and dangers of damaging a Major Accident Hazard Pipeline.
  • Carrying out routine survey work on the pipeline network.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Excellent communication skills to ensure positive interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the highpressure pipeline network owned and operated by SGN.
  • A flexible and positive attitude to work, selfmotivated to deliver work to a high standard.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and maps.
  • Awareness of procedures relevant to Pipelines, particularly; SGN/WI/SW/2, IGEM TD/1, IGEM SR/18, & SGN/PM/MAINT/
  • An understanding of the principals of Cathodic Protection would be beneficial.
  • You must be physically fit, capable of walking long distances over rough ground.
  • Full driving license is essential.
  • You will be expected to take part in the Maintenance standby as required.
