WHAT TO EXPECT


This highly skilled individual will report to the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and have responsibility for overseeing Digital Operations, Policies, Digital Strategy, Innovation, Risk and Compliance, Vendor Management and Digital Change Management.

This is a newly created role sitting on the leadership team of CDIO where they will be responsible for ensuring operational success whilst playing a leading role in future developments in the ways of working and Operating Model across Digital.


This individual will lead the formation and conversion of the function towards one which has an industry leading controls and governance framework which will underpin the successful operation of the Digital function, and ensure delivery of outcomes based upon strategy, business requirements and value.


This role will be the vehicle in driving digital maturity and transformation of our organisation as part of our drive towards enabling Business excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of financial awareness across the function so that expectations around financial management changes are embedded culturally, operationally, and procedurally.
  • Conduct financial quality assurance (QA) on Investment or Run initiatives.
  • Define and champion effective and timely operational finance process to ensure that controls and procedures are followed.
  • Optimisation and streamlining of internal processes, procedures and systems to ensure the team are working effectively and within a control focussed environment.
  • Responsible for the deployment of a revised controls and governance framework (Digital Management System) inclusive of processes aligned to Process excellence.
  • Risk Management for the entire Digital function.
  • Develop and demonstrate a culture of doing business in the right way; driving continuous improvement of compliance practices; working alongside key stakeholders within the company to advise and support on compliance related matters.
  • Ensuring SOx compliance (UK Corporate Reform) which is essential to our corporate governance regime and strengthening our governance controls and policies.
  • In collaboration with the CDIO develop and implement the Digital strategy and roadmap
  • Support the Functional Directors to achieve short and long term strategic objectives by delivering plans and initiatives through Information Technology Business Partnering.
  • Oversight and management of the Digital TBSI operation.
  • Develop the communication and engagement strategy for Digital.
  • Responsible for Vendor Management and the relationships of our key suppliers.
  • Responsible for the Change management agenda within Digital such as our Digital Ways of Working.

  • Board Members: Driving the Digital agenda and support to the CDIO

  • Business Directions: Partnering with business SMEs to ensure alignment with wider Enterprise activities inclusive of process and procedures
  • Finance: Partnering with the Finance team, to support the delivery of investment and value targets
  • Audit Compliance and Risk team; ensuring alignment with the creation and deployment of the revised controls and governance framework
  • Business Assurance: maintain alignment with the deployment of controls and ensuring auditability
  • Close collaboration with HRBPs to for functional oversight
  • Digital Architecture: Ensure the governance, risk and compliance approach compliments overall enterprise architecture and technology Roadmap

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills & Experience


Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in operational Finance and business partnering who brings with them a commercial approach and strong leadership experience
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment, including implementing strong processes and controls within a Digital environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder manag
