GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing client recruiting for an experienced professional
Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer with strong quality, technical & product manufacturing skills / knowledge.


This key Quality role ensure all supplied parts & components are fit for purpose in terms of meeting Quality requirements, specifications, industry standards & compliance.


QUALITY ENGINEERING / INSPECTION DUTIES:


  • Key linchpin between operations / QC on supplier related quality issues
  • Full investigation of quality assurance concerns, establishing QA liability
  • Raising nonconformance reports on suppliers & Evaluating their services
  • Liaising effectively with all key suppliers, ensuring RCA (root cause analysis) is being carried out using appropriate problem solving tools.
  • Recovering costs of nonconforming goods from the relevant supplier/s.
  • Quarantine nonconforming faulty products & returning to suppliers at their cost not the businesses.
  • A key member of the Raw Material Review SMT, looking at fitnessforuse, & product disposition.
  • Support Rework Approval / Concession / Change Notification processes.
  • QA Investigator / tester, establishing who is liable for any product faults.
  • Work with purchasing to validate "first off parts" on all new product runs.
  • Support purchasing with supplier assessments & supplier audits.

Desired Attributes:


  • Previous Supplier QA / Inspection & Testing experience within a high capital engineered products manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read engineering / technical drawings (AutoCAD).
  • Quality Assured Engineering background.
  • Complexed manufacturing experience.
  • Used to working in highly regulated sectors.
  • From Automotive, Aerospace, Plant Machinery, Specialist Machinery, Forklift / MHE, Coach building, HGV builds, HGV Trailer builds or other high capital type product assembly builds.
  • Strong user of Excel & ERP / MRP systems.
