The post-holder for this role will support the social media manager across the following UK School brands:

  • Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts (CSVPA), a traditional arts school based in Cambridge, UK.
  • CATS Cambridge, an international boarding school based in Cambridge.
  • Bosworth Independent College, a small tutorial college, today Bosworth is a leading independent boarding college in the UK.
  • Guildhouse School, London, an international boarding school based in London.
  • Stafford House, a group of international English language schools based in the UK.
  • The Worthgate School, an international boarding school based in Canterbury.
  • Support for our group brand, CGS may also be needed.


The post-holder for this role will report to the Social Media Specialist The post-holder for this role will ideally be based in or around Cambridge.

Other locations may also be considered. We are currently asking all staff to come into office twice a week.

Role overview

The post-holder for this role will be a key member of the Content and Design Team, responsible for supporting the Social Media Specialist to create an engaging and innovative social media strategy to demonstrate and better explain the USPs of each school through targeted campaigns and content.


The post-holder for this role will support the Social Media Specialist to manage the social media channels across our UK school brands and support the overall social media strategy for our brands.

They will work closely with the Content and Design Team to plan content and will support the posting, scheduling, and reporting on social media activities as well as managing the community / audiences.


The Post-holder for this role will also be required to support on paid social activities and reporting on social media activities across our channels.

Supporting Social Media Management

  • Post blog posts, social media content, videos, student testimonials, etc.
  • Support the management of social media accounts for each school via a social media management platform.
  • Support the Social Media Manager in keeping up to date with platform changes
  • Support paid social media campaigns.
  • Write social media posts to go with content supplied by Content and Design Teams
  • Adapt content to social platforms where required.
  • Undertake desk research to help identify relevant social media trends for our schools and their audiences.
  • Support reporting on social media activity across the accounts.
  • Respond to user comments and the reposting of relevant content.
  • Support ad hoc social requests.

Person Specification

  • We are looking for someone who has creative flair and who is able to contribute to our growing marketing team's ability to create and implement great social media campaigns.
  • The postholder will be someone who can support the championing of social media across the CGS brands and aid the Social Media Manager in driving good social strategy.
  • A willingness to learn how to use social media design tools such as Canva training can be provided.
  • Some experience of managing social media accounts would be desirable but not mandatory.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the use of appropriate language, correct grammar, and spelling.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage their own workload.
  • Some experience of video editing for social media would be desirable¬¬.
