Pharmacy experience Preferred but not necessary. Retail experience minimum 1 years necessary. GCSE QUALIFICATION necessary.

Mainly in
PHARMACY and wanting to do apprentice in Dispensary assistant leading to accuracy checking technician.

The job requires a high level of customer interaction, assistant should have good customer facing and communication skills.

Both Postoffice and Medicine counter sales are also responsible for the stocking and ordering of merchandise and the related administrative duties.

Assistant's job description, including their routine daily duties:

Greeting customers who enter the shop
:

• Be involved in stock control and management.

-
Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for
:

• Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.

-
Stocking shelves with merchandise.

• Answering queries from customers.

-
Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.

• Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.

Balancing cash registers with receipts
:

• Dealing with customer refunds.

Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes Hovering and Mopping.

• Responsible dealing with customer complaints.

Working within established guidelines, and protocols:

• Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.

Responsible for security within the store and being on the look out for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc

• Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock

Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.

• Keep up with necessary training needed to do the job.

Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock

• You should have a comprehensive understanding of your area of sales i.e. retail, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Post office procedures and admin process and training regularly, medicines product knowledge, understanding of private and NHS prescriptions.

Able to work as part of a Pharmacy team
:

• Knowledge of inventory techniques.

Computer literate:

• Should be of a smart appearance and articulate

Salary:

£6.85-£9.50 per hour


Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• COVENTRY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (required)

Language:

• ENGLISH (required)
