This is a diverse, rewarding and challenging role which requires you to deliver a range of interventions to vulnerable children and their families in West Ipswich.
Using the Signs of Safety and Well-being Framework, you will enable and support families to make changes to their lives to promote:
- safety and stability
- physical and emotional health
- access to education, training and employment opportunities.
You will effectively:
- communicate and engage with children, young people and their families
- assess, plan and review
- report and record accurately
- actively build relationships and network with multi-agency partners
- appropriately manage risk and safeguarding concerns
- offer information, advice and signpost.
Travelling requirements for your role:
We positively encourage the use of technology to communicate, but in this role you will need to travel to locations away from your contractual base, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.

You will need to be methodical and precise, a team player with good interpersonal skills.

Highfield Nursery School and Children's Centre is based on Chesterfield Drive, Ipswich and provides education for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years.
Please note that the hours that this role requires are between the hours of 9am and 5pm over 52 weeks a year and include working during school closure periods.
