The Role:


The Fire Risk assessor will be responsible for providing effective implementation of client programmes and projects related to fire risk assessments.

To professionally represent the company's brand and provide the level of professionalism required to enhance the profile of the company.

To deliver a full Fire Risk Assessment service across our portfolio managed buildings.

They will be able to fully manage projects and contracts liaising directly with clients and other stakeholders to provide a professional service which is of the highest standard possible and consistent with good practice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire risk assessments to a range of properties as required
  • Ability to record data accurately and produce site plans.
  • Ensuring all works comply with current legislation including the Fire Safety Order 2005 ("the Fire Safety Order") & as well as working to our policies.
  • Ensuring methods meet and are working towards British Standard
  • PAS 79:201
  • Fire Risk Assessment Guidance and Recommended Methodology
  • Assist with the review process for continuous improvement in the delivery of fire services and ensure profitability.
  • Provide support and guidance to trainee fire risk assessors and fire risk assessors.
  • Contribute to meeting operational demands in ensuring the consistency of technical performance, including assisting in the monitoring to standards and performance of contractors and the financial monitoring of programmes of work.
  • Provide professional service to clients and contractors, answering any queries and giving specialist advice.
  • Liaise with clients and staff from other disciplines in connection with fire risk assessment work.
  • Technically reviewing own and other team member's reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Deliver fire awareness training.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team and take responsibility for your own work.
  • Responsible for identifying business opportunities.
  • Be efficient in providing quotations to clients in all aspects.
  • This role requires a good level of flexibility including the requirement of frequent travel.
Qualifications/ Knowledge/

A minimum of five C grade GCSE's including Maths, English and Science or equivalent.

HND/HNC or equivalent in a related discipline and/or can demonstrate significant relevant experience.

IFE, IFSM or IFPO accreditation.

NEBOSH - National certificate in fire safety or equivalent.

Experience

At least 3 years' experience in a similar or related role.

Experience working on a range of building and survey types.

Skills/Abilities

Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation, and risks and hazards associated with fire safety.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Salary:
£40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
